A MAP TO OUR CLASSROOM
The Vineyard Class is taught by David Gowdey, a small business owner by profession, who also is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and has a M.Ed. in Marriage and Family Counseling. The emphasis in this class is looking to scripture in order to look at Jesus and gain a deeper awareness of the truth that He came to set us free. He transforms the motives of our own hearts, and that reorders our behavior, our relationships and all of life. Class members are predominantly in their 40’s and 50’s (many with children, elementary through post-college) but all ages and stages are represented and welcome.
We meet for casual fellowship from 10:45-11:15 and teaching starts at 11:15. This fall David Gowdey is teaching a series on Anxiety and Depression, which will be followed by studies in Ephesians.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed…” — Luke 4:18
“God comes after us not to angrily strip away our freedom but to affectionately strip away our slavery to self so we might become truly free.” — Tullian Tchividjian
