Generosity and Stewardship
Knowing that God is the source of all things and all that we have, one of our greatest acts of worship is giving. Whether we are generous in our availability to others, in using our talents and abilities in serving the community, or in giving our financial resources, all are intended for extending the presence of His Kingdom in Dallas and to the world.
How to give
In addition to checks and cash given in the offering plate during worship services or mailed in during the week, you now have two ways to give online:
- PCPC’s Website: Simply click on the Give Now button below and follow the prompts. You will be asked to log in or create a login account if you have not done so previously. If you have previously registered online for a PCPC event, you will use those login credentials.
- The PCPC App: If you haven’t already, you can download the PCPC app for your smart phone. From the app, choose More, then choose Give which will route you to the PCPC website giving page.
End of the Year Contributions
December 31 is the deadline for gifts to be receipted for 2018 in order to comply with IRS regulations. Any gifts received at the church or postmarked later than December 31st will be receipted for 2019. With church offices being closed for the holidays, it is best to mail your contribution checks postmarked by Monday, December 31 rather than hand delivering them. If you need to hand-deliver your contributions, please do so on Sunday, December 30, in the offering plates during the worship services.
Gifts of stock provide another way to be generous and donating appreciated stock has potential tax benefits. If you would like to donate stock, call Jean Hagin at 214-224-2504 or email her at [email protected] by noon Friday, December 28, 2018 for instructions. Please note that mutual fund donations can take up to 3 weeks to process so start the process by Friday, December 7th to allow extra time for these donations.
Please note that the IRS requires individuals to have a giving statement on the letterhead of the charitable organization prior to filing your tax return.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting all that God is doing in and through the life of our PCPC body. For additional information, contact [email protected] or 214-224-2504.
Please read the Session’s statement concerning online giving at PCPC.
Credit card fees
Please note that the convenience of credit and debit card giving costs the church 2.2% of the amount per transaction. Please consider increasing your contribution to include the additional charge incurred by the church.
Electronic funds transfer
You can also give through electronic funds transfer through the PCPC website. By logging in and providing your bank routing number and account number information, your funds can be sent to PCPC directly. This means of giving incurs the lowest fees other than cash gifts.
Gifts of stock
You may also give by donating stock gifts. When stock gifts are given directly to the church, there are tax advantages associated with giving appreciated stock. To make a stock gift, contact Jean Hagin, Accounts Receivable Specialist, ([email protected], 214-224-2504) or Ardie Aldrich, Director of Finance, ([email protected], 214-224-2503) for further information.
Giving statements available online
You can now access your personal giving records online. To view your giving history, click here. Once you are logged in, you will see Download My Statement on the left side navigator. Click the link to choose a year, and a PDF version of the giving statement that is mailed to you will be displayed on the screen. At that point you can save it to your computer or send it to your printer. If you would like to opt out of mailed statements, click Go Paperless and set your preference.
If you currently receive weekly offering envelopes but no longer wish to do so, you may opt out. You can choose this preference under Go Paperless as described above.
Whether through offerings of animals and the first fruits of the land in Old Testament times, through currencies of all kinds throughout history, more recently by using checking accounts, or now by electronic means, our giving is a very tangible way of offering ourselves and our resources to the One who owns all things, is our provider in ways beyond what we often realize, and is worthy of our most sincere expression of worship. May the giving of our tithes and offerings regardless of its form be a continual overflow of our gratitude and worship.
2017-2018 Ministry Impact Report
We have so much to be grateful for as we reflect on what the Lord has done through this place and His people in 2017–2018. Each year, we would like to share just a glimpse which gives us an opportunity to remember His faithfulness and respond together with prayer and thanksgiving.
The content of this report is filled with a lot of numbers, numbers worth celebrating as they represent real stories of people’s lives being changed. Numbers mean nothing if we fail to draw closer to the Lord through our work of extending the transforming presence of the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ in Dallas and to the world.
