On Monday, November 4th, the day before the election, we will open up the PCPC Chapel for a day of prayer. The Apostle Paul calls us to pray for those in authority over us, and we will do just that, remembering that it is God who sovereignly appoints those who govern us. As our world attempts to place truth downstream from politics, we must never forget where truth comes from. As Christians in the United States, we have been given the privilege and the responsibility to vote. But we must not be fooled into thinking, along with the rest of the world, that somehow the truth will be determined by a political outcome. But rather, let the truth of God’s Word drive your politics, guide how you vote, and remind you that the nations and kingdoms of this world will rise and fall, but the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ will never fail. He will reign forever and ever, world without end. This is why we preach the truth of God’s Word every Sunday from the whole counsel of Scripture.
