Elementary & Middle School Communicants Class
A 6-week class for children (3rd-8th grade in the fall and 2nd-8th grade in the spring) who are interested in full communing membership at PCPC and ready to be admitted to the Lord’s Table.
Many of our children are covenant children and have already been baptized into God’s family, the Church, as infants or young children. At their baptism, parents make vows on behalf of their child, and we pray for the Lord’s faithfulness over time to bring about saving faith in the child’s heart. The Communicants Class is a time to celebrate God’s faithfulness in doing just that – to bring our children to a place of professing their own faith and trust in Jesus to wash them from their sin and remake them in His image, for His glory. PCPC’s Family Ministries desires to come alongside parents as you shepherd your child through this wonderful time when your child explores making their own profession of faith. In that light, this year there will be a Required Parent Intro Class that one parent must attend before a child may participate in the Communicants Class. This Intro class will help you, the parent, assess your child’s readiness for the Table and encourage you to be fully engaged during this important time in your child’s spiritual life. Communicants Class Details
- Sunday mornings at 8:15 a.m. Breakfast provided.
- One parent must attend with child.
- Offered twice each year, once in the fall and once in the early spring. See schedule below.
- Class attendance is mandatory so please consider which dates below are best for your family. One missed class is allowed but will be made up.

Communion Sunday: November 10, 2024
Communicants Required Parent Intro Class
One parent must attend this class before a child is eligible to participate in the Communicants Class. Register now for this one-time, mandatory Intro Class taught by our pastors, which will help parents assess their child’s readiness for Communion and provide further details about what to expect in the 6-week Communicants class. This Intro Class is for parents only and will be offered prior to the Communicants Classes each semester.
Registration is open for the August 25 parent intro class or the September 1 parent intro class.
