This fall, our Men’s and Women’s Care Groups will come together for a class taught by Pat Hobin using the book Why We Hide by Ed Welch. We will start off together in a large group teaching time and then break into separate men’s and women’s small groups for discussion.
This is an opportunity for men and women to learn about and discuss their struggles with shame, disappointment, and inadequacy by pointing to Christ for acceptance, identity, and security. We will meet on Tuesday nights from September 12 to October 31 in the Oak Lawn West Meeting Room (across Oak Lawn from the main church building). Large group teaching will begin at 7:00 p.m., and small group discussion will end at 8:30 p.m. Registration is free, but participants will need to purchase their own book, which will be available in the PCPC Bookstore and other retailers.
