Episode 1 (Season 3) Gift of Grief: Loss of a Spouse
Wednesday, February 15, 2023
About the Episode:
Join us for a series on loss and pain. Sam Joyner lost his wife, Cheryl, 77 days after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 41. Sam courageously shares his journey of anger, healing, and parenting through the pain of death and grieving. As Sam speaks to the transition, he notes there is something about seeing a loved one’s last breath and knowing their next one is in the presence of God. God keeps our pain from being wasted. During this episode, we discuss: What is the abundant life? What does that mean to you? Abundant life is the presence of Christ and as Sam shares, “The gift of grief was the gift of God Himself.” -Sam Joyner
