Advent at PCPC
The Love of God Incarnate
This Advent season at PCPC, we will celebrate the coming of Christ and the longing for His return, focusing on the love of God incarnate for us. At its heart, Christmas is “the world’s best love story” as Paul David Trip wrote in Come Let Us Adore Him. Jesus, the groom, was sent from heaven to win His bride for Himself forever. At just the right time, Love came to earth incarnate and will never end. Christmas “is about a God of love sending the Son of His love to live a life of love and die a death of love, so that all who believe in Him would be welcomed into the arms of His love forever and ever,” wrote Tripp.
We hope that during this Advent, you will abide in Christ’s love and wonder at the reminder that God keeps His promises, just as He did in Bethlehem and will always. Christ embodies true, selfless love in His birth, death, and resurrection for us. “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor. 13:13). The events we hold this Advent season point us towards that love. Come worship, fellowship, and sing a joyful song of love to our Savior.
We invite you to join us either in person or online (pcpc.org/live) Sundays at 8:00 (Chapel), 9:30, or 11:00 a.m.
