About the Episode:
Hear how the guest shares her experience working with clients to help them have a healthy and godly perspective on eating. She talks about disordered eating, eating disorders, dieting culture, and the “why?” behind those. The diet industry is a 60 billion-dollar industry feeding off of the idols of our hearts. Kate talks about how to help people get out of the bondage of this diet culture by breaking down shame, developing trust, and being reminded of the Truth.

About Our Guest:
Kate Arvesen Griege, MCN, RDN, LD, CEDS, was born and raised in Dallas. She is a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders and an outpatient dietitian at Wonderfully Made Nutrition Counseling.
Kate earned a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition science at Baylor University. Kate went on to complete her internship and Master’s degree in clinical nutrition at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Kate is committed to providing her patients the highest level of care and views eating disorders as her calling to help people return to a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Kate has over four years of experience at the Eating Recovery Center of Texas and works in the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization levels of care. Kate has experience with clients of all ages and a variety of diagnoses, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Kate has earned her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), which requires extensive training and supervision in the field of eating disorders. Kate is the Marketing Chair of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) DFW Chapter and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Kate strives to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment to her clients. She is passionate about helping you build your confidence around food in order to do the things you love. If the patient requests, Kate incorporates a faith-based approach to treatment for those wanting Christian interventions.
About Our Host:
A graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Mark Davis came to PCPC as our Youth Pastor in 2003 and became our Senior Pastor in 2009. He and his bride, Kristina, met at a Young Life Camp in 1988 and have five amazing kids, Kara (and husband, Drew), Madalyn (and husband, Jack), Cayden, Esther Kate, & Samuel.
