About the Episode:
Join us for a series on addiction to alcohol and other drugs, where we will discuss the loss of choice and the shame-based disease that is addiction. George Thompson shares his story of alcoholism in a search of the continual effect. George courageously talks about the control that the substance had on his body, the treatment process and withdrawals, and ultimate recovery and healing. With gratitude and faith, we are blessed by George’s miraculous story of rescue.
About Our Guest:
George Thompson was born and raised in the Park Cities. He grew up in the church and graduated from Highland Park in 2007. George went to Texas Tech University, before graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2019. God has blessed him with an amazing story of His Grace. It is because of Jesus Christ and His divine intervention in George’s life, that he can have and continue to pursue a professional career in Commercial Real Estate and use his story of rescue to draw others closer to Him!!
About Our Host:
A graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Mark Davis came to PCPC as our Youth Pastor in 2003 and became our Senior Pastor in 2009. He and his bride, Kristina, met at a Young Life Camp in 1988 and have five amazing kids, Kara (and husband, Drew), Madalyn (and husband, Jack), Cayden, Esther Kate, & Samuel.
