Episode 21 (Season 2) Rest: As You Go About Your Day Guest: Elizabeth Robinson
Wednesday, July 27, 2022
About the Episode:
Join us for a series on Rest in which we discuss what it means to take time to be still in a world that is so addicted to activity. We are going to talk about how rhythms of rest, stillness, and quiet can be a blessing in our lives. In this episode, Mark interviews Elizabeth Robinson on her journey of faith and prayer through a growing family, being led by the Lord to Scripture, and her calling to intercession. What is intercession? Elizabeth and Mark discuss the joy of ‘standing in the gap for another’ in prayer and the privilege of coming directly and boldly to the throne of grace because of Jesus Christ. If you experience feelings of inadequacy, you are not alone. Tune in to hear Elizabeth share about how God showed her that loving Him is the greatest calling, and we can find true joy through asking for His presence as we go about our day.

We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.” -Colossians 1:9-12
“I am the spring crocus blooming on the Sharon Plain, the lily of the valley.” -Song of Solomon 2:1

Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.” -1 Chronicles 16:11
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
