PCPC Florida Trip 2012

Summer will be here before we know it! Kick off the summer with the PCPC Florida Trip 2012. All current eighth to eleventh grade students are invited to this week-long retreat at the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center in Panama City Beach, Florida. 

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

Open registration for everyone will begin on Monday, March 5. Spots will fill up quickly!

  • Registration costs $535.
  • Payment for the trip can be made in full by credit or debit card during online registration or by check. If paying by check, a $200 non-refundable deposit is due by Wednesday, April 4, to secure the student's spot. Payment in full is due no later than Wednesday, May 2.
  • If registration needs to be cancelled: A full refund can be given through Wednesday, April 4. A refund of $325 can be given through Friday, May 4. Starting May 5, a $200 refund can only be given for any cancelled registrations.

TRIP DETAILS:

We depart by charter bus Saturday, May 26, 7:00 am and return Friday, June 1, 2:00 pm.
Students stay in dorm style rooms with adult leaders. Students will be able to list two roommate preferences in the online registration. Please list only two roommate preferences.

The students will meet twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening for group meetings. Morning meetings are led by staff and evening meetings are led by our speaker. There is ample time each day for daily devotions and for cabins to meet together to discuss the teaching. Students will have free time between lunch and dinner to enjoy the beach, the pool, the sun, volleyball courts, etc. Our staff and volunteers also plan various night activities for the group. Staff and volunteers are actively engaged in the students' lives and participate in all activities with students.

Important trip information will be communicated through email. Please check your email for important trip details and reminders.

RELEASE FORMS

PCPC must have release forms specific to the Florida Trip on file for each registered student. Students will not be allowed to attend the trip if no release form is on file prior to the day of the trip. Release forms are available below. You can fax forms to 214-224-2598, drop off with the church receptionist in the main church building, or mail them to Lily Riemer's attention at PCPC (4124 Oak Lawn Ave, Dallas, TX 75219).

QUESTIONS AND SPECIAL NOTES

Please contact Lily Riemer ([email protected]) should your child need to arrive late or leave early due to other scheduled summer activities. Students are able to fly in and out of Panama City. We will send out a letter to all registered students with special trip details. In this letter, there will be information on scheduling  flights and transportation for those students that must arrive late or leave early.

PCPC is able to take a large group of students on the Florida Trip. Registration will fill up quickly so we encourage you to register early in order to secure a spot for your son or daughter.
