Extraordinary Power Through Ordinary Means

Hear What the Lord Says

We have a faithful God who has revealed Himself to us in His Word and by His Spirit. Yet, time and time again, His people have failed to listen, rejected His Word, and been unfaithful to their God. Micah the prophet brings an indictment against God’s people for this very sin of unfaithfulness. He speaks of the Lord’s requirements plainly, calling them to “do justice, love kindness, and to walk humbly with their God.” This powerful verse is often used to exhort people to acts of charity for the good of man in areas where we see a lack of justice, kindness, and humility. But the real Power is revealed when, by God’s grace, we recognize the depth of our sin and our inability to meet these requirements in our flesh and live in humble dependence on Him who is perfect in justice, kindness, and humility. From our union with Christ we are then empowered to be the people He is calling us to be as we do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our Lord.

Invite friends and family to worship online with us at 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. at pcpc.org/live/, the PCPC App with iOS or Android device, Facebook, Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku (search Park Cities Presbyterian), or Youtube.

Reserve Your Seat

For the safety of our community and in accordance with CDC guidelines for places of worship, the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services at PCPC will be limited in capacity. We ask that you arrive early to allow for time to be seated before the service begins. As we assess the safety of our worshippers on a week to week basis, we have decided this Sunday to REQUIRE all attendees to wear masks or cloth face coverings over the nose and mouth while in the church building and maintain 6 feet of distance between parties. If you are uncomfortable with this, we understand and ask that you attend worship with us ONLINE. To help ensure we hold our worship services safely, we ask that you reserve a seat for you and your family – CLICK HERE.

If you or anyone in your party have had any of the following in the past 7 days, we ask that you please worship with us ONLINE.
* Fever Over 100
* Cough or Sore Throat
* Shortness of Breath
* Contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19 (in the past 14 days)

There is no rush to return. Our desire is to lead the Body in worship of our Lord and Savior whether in person or online. So, we will continue to live stream our services at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for any and all who would prefer to worship online at pcpc.org/live.

He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the LORD require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?

Women & Men's Fall Bible Studies

September 15–16

Wondering what our church is doing for adult Bible studies this fall? We are excited to announce we are all studying the miracles of Jesus. Tuesday Men’s Bible study will be led by Paul Goebel and other godly men. Women’s Bible studies will consolidate, meet on Wednesdays, and have a different teacher each week. The teachings will be live streamed, recorded, and posted on our church website along with a study guide. Small groups will meet virtually and off campus, as appropriate. There is no fee for this study; however, you do need to register. Registration is now open at pcpc.org/events, and the studies begin September 15-16. Join us and find your hope renewed in Christ Jesus as we study His miracles all together this fall!

COVID-19 Response Team Update

Distribution with the North Texas Food Bank has taken us to the Bonton community and West Dallas in the past few weeks. Our friends at North Dallas High School, just around the corner from PCPC, receive a small number of boxes each week as well. This is the byproduct of a very encouraging relationship that has developed between PCPC members and the social worker at NDHS over the past several months. Please pray for them as they steward this relationship with our neighbors!

The Team has been praying about ways to address the increasing level of mental health concern across our city as residents cope with the material, emotional, and spiritual effects of COVID-19. PCPC’s Counseling and Care team informed us that they have seen a significant increase in requests for help due to COVID-19 disruption, and after much prayer, the COVID-19 Response Team determined to use a portion of funds raised to contribute to the Counseling Scholarship Fund at PCPC.

If you’d like to contribute to our ongoing projects through the COVID-19 & Disaster Relief fund, you can donate online or write a check to Park Cities Presbyterian Church with “COVID-19 & Disaster Relief” in the memo line.As always, if you or anyone you know has physical, material or spiritual needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact us by emailing deaconhelp@pcpc.org or by filling out the form HERE, and someone from our diaconate or women’s team will follow up with you.
