As you plan for year-end giving, contributions can be made in several ways. In addition to our normal offerings during worship, you can also give online. To donate using either a credit card or an electronic funds transfer from your bank account.
Gifts of stock provide another way to be generous and donating appreciated stock has potential tax benefits. If you would like to donate stock, call Jean Hagin at 214-224-2504 or email her at [email protected] by noon Friday, December 29, 2017, for instructions. Please note that mutual fund donations can take up to 3 weeks to process, so start the process by Friday, December 8 to allow extra time for these donations.
However you choose to give, December 31 is the deadline for gifts to be receipted for 2017 in order to comply with IRS regulations. Any gifts received at the church or postmarked later than December 31 will be receipted for 2018.
With church offices being closed for the holidays, it is best to mail your contribution checks postmarked by Saturday, December 30 rather than hand delivering them. If you need to hand-deliver your contributions, use the drop box slot located on the wall to the left of the metal doors on the south side of the building, marked “South Parking Entrance” (on the northeast side of the main church parking lot).
Please note that the IRS requires individuals to have a giving statement on the letterhead of the charitable organization before filing your tax return.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting all that God is doing in and through the life of our PCPC body. For additional information, contact [email protected] or 214-224-2504.
